
I began by writing poetry during my adolescence to help me survive the trauma I was experiencing at home.įiona: When did you first consider yourself a writer?Īfter I finished my degree, I decided to publish my adolescent poetry.

I will be writing another short story for an anthology for Mental Health to be published in October.įiona: When and why did you begin writing? The title will be Word Stew, and I hope to have it out on June 11 th. The project was conceived by Terra James, and it will be published April 1 st as Perfectly Unique.I am also working on a book consisting of poetry, Haiku, flash fiction, and short stories. I am writing a short story and formatting an anthology as a fundraiser for Autism. I am so happy she and her wife found each other.

Our daughter married her soulmate on Thanksgiving 2016. He left us with two grandsons, now 15 and 13. I currently speak for a local crisis agency to let people know about suicide and how to survive suicide grief. In 2008, he hung himself in our garage, leaving us to pick up the pieces and find a new way forward without him. Unfortunately, our son was suffering with Bi-polar Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder. We adopted two children: a boy through Toledo Catholic Social Services and a daughter from South Korea through International Aid and Adoption. In 2015, I received my BS in Computer Information/Web Development I have been married for nearly 39 years to the love of my life, Gary. It took me 37 years to return to academic life.

I attended the University of Michigan and a day before commencement, was informed I was one class short of graduating. I currently live in Clinton Townshipįiona: A little about yourself (ie, your education, family life, etc.).
